He simply believes there's no point in acting your own ages, especially since it's such a bore to him. Instead it's better to just lay back and do whatever he feels is right, not what society thinks is right. Yes, you may call him a bit stubborn for that, but in the end how can you blame him? It's his choice to choose this way of thinking, and it's highly doubtful someone will change him even slightly. Though, he tends to have worst cons than that, like how he's rude at times. Of course he's not like Sliver or Green, but at times he comes off a bit rude. He's that guy that always thinks everything's a joke, even when you don't. He'll say things that are rude to others but nothing to him.Gold's also what people call Lazy. At times he simply refuses to do anything but sit around and relax while fishing. To him there's no point in working too much unless it's dangerously important, which isn't often. Some may compare him to a snorlax or this, but you can't really change this trait in people, so doesn't like trying to do that. Positive: Despite his cons, Gold has many Pros, which is why he's such a awesome person. For one thing he's caring, even if he doesn't act like it. He's one of those people that don't show some of his emotions that often, but they're there. Like, even if he's rude towards a stranger, he still would risk his life to save them. Why? Well, he enjoys helping people, even if it causes him to do...work. Gold is also known for being what many people call Creative. This man can think up of amazing battling moves and tactics, ways of training, and ect. He's known to always have some kind of unique way to approach something, even if it's not the best idea in the world. Though, even if his ideas get his friends into trouble, they can't simply hate him. Gold is too likeable, with his spunky and childish personality, lazy acts, and weird dialog. Oh, and let's not forget how people can't hate his simply laughable ways with the ladies. It's like he hasn't gotten any better with females than he was when he first explored Johto. Still, the man is extremely knowledgeable, even if it doesn't seem like it. He can do wonders when it comes down to hatching an egg perfectly, which is hard to come across now a days. Many wonder how such a immature man can do such a thing that takes a high level of knowledge, but in the end they grow to understand once seeing how he acts towards pokemon.The male is also skilled in things like billiard, pokemon battling, thinking up things, fishing, skateboarding, charming someone and ect.  Also, in the mind of some fellow poke dex holders, Gold may be mostly known for his open minded attitude. Gold is ready to learn from any battle he joins, mostly because he understands that no matter how much he tries, the generation that came after him will always come to over come his generation, because thats the way the world works.

[attr="class","puppy"] [attr="class","puppy2"] [attr="class","puppy3"]history [attr="class","puppy4"]After his journey Gold left the glam life of saving the world and began to simply focus on other things, such as living out his young life. As much as he loves to save people's lives, he knew others would take his place and there was no need to forever be the protector of the earth. So, instead Gold began to explore the different regions, such as more of hoenn, all of sinnoh, all of Unova, and all of  Kalos.  There he was able to try out all the different kinds food, which he learned to adore more and more. It grew to be a love of his, like skateboarding, and gambling. Though, he was able to finish exploring the regions once he turned 18, which was a downer since Gold didn't know what else to do with his life. Nothing around him sounded appealing for a job, so the now grown man went back over to the johto region, where he continued to train his pokemon to the limit. His friend Sliver and Crystal even began to visit him every once and a while to help with his training. Still, something began to catch his eye over training; pokemon breeding. Since the man was always around pokemon during his lifetime, he learned that he has a special skill when it comes to pokemon breeding, which Professor Elm was able to help Gold with. Together, Gold was able to study under his wing while continuing to train for a good 2 years. During those years he grew more mature and into someone he was not. Though, once traveling to the Lyeant region he began to realize the person he had become was not who he was, so he gave it up and went back to his old ways. Still, the mature side of him continued to kick in when deciding if it was best to jump in with the gijika 'problem' they were having there. Yes. In Gold's mind they were harmless, but it seemed as if the humans thought otherwise. So he began to defend them, trying to show that they're good and not evil beings that should be punished. Of course he was beaten up for that,and even spit on, but he continued to fight for them, trying to get others to be on his side. Sadly, many disagree and hated him for that, even people who he once called friends. However, he never met up with any poke dex holders since arriving there, so he continues to wait and see if they would join him or not. Of course they would most likely push his reasoning to the side, saying he's always childish and is probably making a joke out of it, but he continues to hope still, and for the next 2 years he served back in Kalos, learning about mega evolution so he can perhaps strength his team to the point where he can help defend the gijika better, since not many people do.
