Having just arrived here, Shizuka and the team of pokemon she had been training to take on the water gym of Irisia town settled in and found a place to rest while keeping a comfortable distance from the waterfalls and fountains placed everywhere possible. Neji, her shiny charizard, was her highest leveled pokemon in all of her team. She expected that she would, however, rely strongly on Sesshoumaru, her serperior, for the battle to come. Mikasa, the meowstic, was also very capable of taking on the water types with her electric attack. Along with these three pokemon, she had prepared Sakura, her persian, Otohime, her gyarados, and Ryou, her mightyena, to take part in and aid the rest of her team in this duel.
The experienced trainer who was also secretly a vulpix gijinka who veiled her forbidden identity with her psychic powers, her skirt and her hat, had a quick lunch while petting Sakura and Ryou and feeding them treats. Deciding that it was time to go, she stood up and began to walk toward the gym, the persian and mightyena following close behind. Sakura used to be a meowth who always made her spot on Shizuka's shoulder, but now that she was a full grown cat, she was too big to comfortably balance on her trainer's shoulders and snuggle up with her scarf.
They arrived at the gym and, with confidence, entered. Formally, Shizuka announced, "I have come to this city to challenge the gym." And she waited patiently for the gym leader to make her appearance.
