ABOUT [attr="class","zo"]Matthew Burke is the son of a famous inventor – the man who created the modern Poke Ball – and a rather skilled inventor himself. Working for big companies like the Sylph Corporation and sometimes the League itself, I think it's safe to assume he's rolling in the dough. However, when taking a glance at the striking young man, it'd be hard to believe he's in his forties, and a gijinka. Cruel, uncaring Matt is a Ditto gijinka and, as such, has the ability to transform into anything at will. However, a deep routed hatred for his kind has left him to discard this ability unless absolutely necessary, and has made it a point to keep it absolutely secret from anyone and everyone. He's kind of a jerk face, too. The kind of guy who'd see a girl trapped in a well and just keep walking. That's really all there is to say on the matter. | FRIENDS [attr="class","zo"]Friends~! Again, he's kind of a jerk face, and he most certainly doesn't want to be your friend. Or her friend. Or his friend. Or anyone's friend. The idea of friendship almost angers him, really, and the closest thing he'd get to “friendship” would be a mutual “let's not stab each other in the back” agreement that'd he'd eventually break and not give a crud over. Compassion is not something he seems capable of showing, much less a word he has stored away in his vernacular. So, go ahead and try to be friendly all you want with him; don't get upset when months of attempts end up being for nothing. |
[attr="class","zo"]The world – as well as everything in it – is his enemy, essentially. Instead of most characters where a relationship starts with indifference and either veers off into fondness, annoyance, or goes nowhere, upon encountering the brunet, you are instantly labels as an enemy and someone who cannot be trusted. Depending on your actions, he'll either deem the suspicion to not be worth it and your presence not even something work acknowledging, or view you as an extreme annoyance or unacceptable obstacle and go about a variety of plans to off you. And, keep in mind, kids – he's gotten away with killing his father and drawing no suspicion toward himself. You'd be wise to not get him even more angry with you than he is from the get go. ENEMIES | [attr="class","zo"]Romance? Out of the question. If he can't make friends, how can you expect him to fall for one lucky lad or lass? Really, you can't.
