Both her parents had office jobs and were seldom around to be with her, but nevertheless she loved them very much. A bubbly child, she loved exploring every nook and cranny of Goldenrod. One day, Mor happened to stumble upon the Goldenrod Tunnel, where she met a pair of brothers who groomed Pokemon for a living. After observing them, Mor decided she wanted to become a Pokemon groomer when she grew up. Whenever she got the chance, she would visit them. One day, one of the brothers told Mor about Pokemon contests in Hoenn and Sinnoh, as well as musicals in Unova. Both piqued the young girl's interest, and so she decided to look them up at the library. The more she read about them, the more interested she became in participating in these contests and musicals. She also became interested in cosplaying, particularly as a maid. After all, coordinators should wear flashy dresses, too! Upon turning ten--the age where children could set off on Pokemon journeys--Mor's parents gave her permission to travel to Hoenn. Once there, she received her first starter, a Treecko. It was time for her to embark on her very own adventure! ...Or so she thought. Not long after receiving her starter, Mor began to feel very homesick and ended up returning to Johto. Both her parents were happy to see her, though they were still very busy. While home, Mor managed to capture a few Pokemon. She decided that, while she stayed in Johto, that she start learning how to groom. Fortunately, the brothers were keen on teaching her. Within a couple years, Mor could groom Pokemon without making mistakes; however, she still had a long way to go. One day, Mor's mother won a trip for three to the Lyeant region. Neither the female or her parents had heard of the region before, but decided to go for the thrill of adventure. About a week in, a strange man approached the three. He seemed to have Pokemon-like parts on his body--Azumarill parts. He claimed that he was "cosplaying" and asked Mor's parents to follow him. Both refused, and the man left. That night, Mor's parents went out for a walk while Mor was in the hotel room. While taking a walk, they were ambushed by the man from earlier and some others just like him. Mor, who was having trouble sleeping, went outside the moment her parents disappeared. She didn't know what happened--one moment they were there, the next, they were gone. Frightened and confused, Mor ran about, calling their names hoping they would respond. While doing so, she bumped into a Pokemon she had never seen before. It was a Dedenne. Enraged, the gerbil zapped Mor, who lost consciousness shortly after. Upon waking up, Mor found herself in a strange location. There were people around her--human people--who seemed happy that she had awoken. They introduced themselves as members of an organization known as Mirod that believed humans were superior beings. Upon hearing Mor's story, they told her how her parents were likely taken away by Gijinkas, which they explained to her. They claimed that Gijinkas were nothing but terrible, evil creatures that needed to be exterminated and experimented on. As she was still young and distraught over her parents' disappearances, Mor completely believed them. It was then that she told them she wanted to help reduce the Gijinka population. This was something the old Mor would've never said. That day, Mor threw out her old personality and developed a new one. To emphasize this change, Mor purchased non-prescriptive red contacts, making her eyes red instead of blue. As she was still young, the people of Mirod decided that they did not want her to get involved. Though she hated being unable to do anything, Mor decided she would go back to doing what she initially wanted to do--participate in contests and musicals, and get better at grooming. Over the next nine years, she traveled to Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova, capturing Pokemon and entering contests and musicals much like she wanted, while practicing grooming her Pokemon in the meantime. Upon returning to Lyeant, Mor had won all but the best possible awards. Upon her return she was given a Furfrou as a gift and was told that it was a good Pokemon to practice grooming on. Having never seen the Pokemon in any of the regions she traveled, Mor inquired about it. She learned about the Kalos region, and how the Fairy type had been discovered there. While going over the type, one of the members mentioned Dedenne. Upon hearing its name, Mor shivered, remembering her being electrocuted by it. Curious, the members of Mirod showed her other Fairy Pokemon. Sure enough, Mor couldn't stand being near them long. Because of the trauma from seven years ago, she had developed a fear of them. Now that she was old enough, Mor was allowed to help deal with the Gijinkas. She came up with a complex, yet good idea: She would pose as a Gijinka and pretend to be a part of Berund, the Gijinka group. While there she would pretend to spy on Mirod while actually spying on Berund. To make this more successful, Mor decided to readopt her original, bubbly personality and wear a set of pseudo-Mightyena ears and tail she purchased for cosplaying some time back, as well as remove her contact lenses. While spying, she'd go by another name--Sio. The other members of Mirod agreed to this, and so began her life as a double agent.
