He was born in the Hoenn Region, in the town of Verdanturf. Since he was a regular human being at the time, he was born of course like any other child, a child with dreams to look forward to in the future. When Drey turned eight years old, you could tell from the look of his eyes that he didn't want to stay in one house all day long. He wanted to go out and wander around in the town of Verdanturf, to find things to do and see. After awhile of pleading with his Mom and Dad, he got permission to head off alone, but the rule was that he couldn't be out for too long, and had to stay somewhat near the house. However, little did his parents know, something bad would occur without them knowing it. When Drey was out wandering around the town like he usually did, 3 strange men made an appearance in the town. Many people didn't know why they were in the town, but they knew that they weren't up to good based on their appearance. It just so happened to be that Drey stumbled upon them while walking around. The men stared at Drey, and before he knew it they all had a strange evil smirk on their face as they continued to stare at him. Drey had no clue what was going on, after all he was just eight years old at the time. One of the men asked Drey if he would like to go on some sort of 'adventure' to supposedly a secret area of the town. When Drey explained shyly that he couldn't go with them since his parents told him not to talk to strangers or go with strangers anywhere, their smirks turned into a frown. The three seemed to talk amongst themselves, and before little Drey knew it, the three of them all grabbed him, one of them covering his mouth so that he wouldn't scream. The little boy continued to struggle, but was powerless. Before he knew it, he was knocked out. As soon as the boy woke up, he was in some sort of dark room of some sort. Drey was obviously frightened, after all he had been kidnapped. The male began to cry loudly, wondering how his parents would feel when they had discovered that he was gone. Sadly, his crying was stopped by one of the three strange men that kidnapped him. Drey didn't know what the man was saying, but the scientist went on and on about how he and his 'friends' would use him as some sort of experiment, called project Gijinka. The little boy had no clue what the man was saying, but he knew that he was up to no good, and knew that the man was planning on doing something bad to him. That was when he resulted in pleading, pleading so that he could be let go. However, like any other villain the man refused to let Drey go. After what seemed like days, Drey was brought into a separate room, a room in which looked like a hospital room of some sort. The three men strapped Drey into some sort of bed, and that was when they began to talk amongst themselves again, talking about Project Gijinka. Drey really couldn't hear what the three were saying, so he just lay there, quietly, refusing to cry any longer. After all, his dad had told him once before to be strong, in bad times. After the three had stopped talking, they went to work. They used some sort of medicine to forcefully make Drey fall asleep. As soon as the eight year old was out cold, one of the three men or scientists held some sort of syringe. The man slowly injected whatever the syringe had inside of it into Drey. As soon as the liquid was all injected into Drey, they noticed some sort of change in the little eight year old. The little eight year old began to grow leaves right on both of his arms! Could it be that their plan had worked into creating what they called a Gijinka? Suddenly, Dreys eyes opened. However, something was noticeably different. He was made into a Gijinka. A Grovyle Gijinka to be precise. The straps that held Drey were immediately destroyed. Drey didn't know it, but he was using one of Grovyles moves, in which was leaf blade to cut the straps loose! The three scientists were amazed at their 'creation'. However, the smile that they all had on their faces soon vanished as soon as Drey started to run out of the room. Before they knew it, Drey had somehow escaped using another one of Grovyles moves, Leaf Storm. Years have passed since then, which brings us to todays time. Drey is now Sixteen years old, however he isn't in the Hoenn Region anymore, he had made it to the Lyeant region. At this time, Drey doesn't know the exact details on what had occured in the past, but all he knew was that he had escaped and was free. However, the price was that he had to go to a different region of some sort in order to avoid being seen by the three men in which kidnapped him. Drey decided that he would forget the bad things that had occured in the past, and so he decided to embark on a new adventure in the Lyeant region. A adventure filled with excitement, as well as sadness..
