[attr="class","puppy"] [attr="class","puppy2"] [attr="class","puppy3"]history [attr="class","puppy4"]Gale was born in Opelucid City, Unova, where she, her parents, and younger brother called "home" for the first seventeen years of their lives. Both her parents were researchers interested in the "majestic Dragon Pokemon", as they always put it. They hoped both Gale and her brother would follow their example and become Dragon researchers, too. They even gave the two their own Dragon Pokemon in hopes that the Pokemon would inspire them. Instead, Gale wished to be a Trainer while her brother was too young to figure out what he wanted to do. She liked the idea of being able to travel around, capture and train Pokemon, challenging others to battles, and so forth. And being given her very own Pokemon made her ever the more hopeful that she would get to do this. When Gale turned ten, her dream came true. Her parents allowed her to travel throughout the Unova region as a Trainer. And so Gale started her own journey as a Pokemon Trainer. For two years, she traveled through the region, doing exactly what she dreamed of: Capturing and training Pokemon, challenging people, et cetera. She captured an assortment of Pokemon and became a decent Trainer over time. After beating all the Gyms and challenging the Pokemon League, Gale decided to travel to another region. At first, her parents were reluctant, but after some convincing, they let her go. For nearly eight years, Gale spent time in Kalos, Johto, Kanto, and Sinnoh, doing the exact same things she did during her travels in Unova. Gale's travels in Sinnoh were cut short. While resting in Canalave City, she received a letter from her parents stating that they were moving to a place called Neurift City in the Lyeant region and requested that she return to Opelucid to prepare for the move. Although reluctant, Gale decided it was for the best and returned home. Not long after, they moved to the city. At first, things seemed pretty normal, and Gale figured she could travel around the region. Her brother had decided he wanted to be a Ranger, but was still too young to start training to be one. He wanted to help people in need, which Gale thought was adorable. Unfortunately, chances were Gale's brother would never get to follow his dream. Not long after moving, someone claiming to be a coworker of Gale's parents stopped by Gale's house. Both parents were out working while Gale was playing at the game corner. This left Gale's brother, who gladly welcomed the stranger. He gave the boy two vials containing some kind of liquid, requesting that he and his sister drink from them. After leaving, the young boy waited for Gale to return home. Once she did, he told her that he wanted her to try a "new drink he got". Although slightly skeptical, Gale didn't want to disappoint her brother, so she drank the liquid alongside him. A moment later, everything went dark. When Gale awoke, she noticed she was on the ground near where she had consumed the strange drink. Her brother was lying next to her, sleeping soundly while a tail with a red tip waved up and down. That was the first sign something was off. Gale turned her brother over, and to her surprise parts of him had transformed. He looked like he was part Pansear. That's when it hit her. The teen frantically went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. At first, things seemed normal until Gale lifted her bangs. On her forehead was a vertical blue oval. Shocked, the teen fell back, the hood from her hoodie falling off in the process. This revealed a black sickle-shaped horn protruding from near her right ear. As she began standing up, she felt a slight pain from her torso. Upon checking to see what it was, Gale realized she had grown a tail, which was also sickle-shaped. Though still very much in shock, she began checking her body for other changes. The only other noticeable one was a change in eye color, as her eyes were now redder than before. There was no doubt about it--Gale was now part Absol. These changes made Gale wearisome. What would her parents think? What would others think? Not wanting to find out, she did her best to cover up any signs of her being "different" and went back out to where she had woken up, only to find her brother had left the house. Fearing the worst, Gale went out only to see some scientist-like people holding on to her brother. He tried to resist, but they injected what was probably a tranquilizer into his skin, as he almost immediately fell asleep. Although Gale wanted to stop them, her body couldn't move--perhaps the Absol parts of her were preventing her from taking action--and so she could do nothing but watch her brother get taken away. Dejected, the female went back inside and waited for her parents to get home so she could tell them the news. Whoever kidnapped Gale's brother must've spoken to her parents beforehand, as when Gale tried to explain to them what had happened, they laughed it off, stating the people who took him were planning on making him a Ranger and that they were all right with his leaving so soon. When she asked if they knew about people who had become part Pokemon, they shrugged it off, thinking she had imagined such up. Her parents' obliviousness upset Gale even more, as she was mad they didn't believe her and afraid of what would happen if they found out her condition. The following day, she left a note saying she'd start traveling around the region. While true to some extent, Gale had ulterior motives: Find where her brother had been kidnapped and get him back. While traveling, Gale made sure to keep her physical changes on the down-low. She didn't want humans or other "gijinkas" (as she soon knew them) learning of her differences. As she learned more about the region, Gale decided that she wouldn't help any side, as one hated what she had become while the other was likely responsible for her and her brother's transformations. Gale would do whatever the hell she wanted so long as it ended with her getting her brother back.
